8 c. boiling water
4 family-size tea bags
1 small can frozen limeade
1 small can frozen orange juice
1-2 cinnamon sticks
Whole cloves
In a large saucepan or small stockpot, pour the water over the tea bags. Let steep for five minutes. Remove tea bags. Add frozen limeade, frozen orange juice, cinnamon sticks, and cloves.
Simmer over low heat for several minutes. Taste and add sugar (one tablespoon at a time) if necessary. I usually don't find it necessary.
Serve hot in mugs garnished with cinnamon sticks or orange rounds, or chill and serve over ice with fresh mint.
Note: this is great for holiday parties. You can leave it on a warm stove for hours. Just stir every once in a while. You can also add rum to taste, for a little extra warmth.
